Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of Anambra South, who was elected on the platform of the Young Progressive Party, has switched to the governing All Progressives Congress, APC.
His defection was announced in a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, which was officially read out in the Senate Chamber on Thursday.
Ubah was re-elected to a four-year term in Nigeria’s Senate in the February 25 general election.
Ubah was attacked last year in Nkw Enugwu-Ukwu in the State’s Njikoka Local Government Area in 2022.
