Wole Soyinka Debunks Backing Tinubu – Trending With Ojy Okpe

Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has spoken up about about his alleged support of certain candidates in the race for the 2023 presidency

Last November, a Facebook user Michael Olugbenga Peter posted a comment purportedly made by Professor Soyinka that he would be involved in politics to campaign for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2023 presidential bid because of their National Democratic Coalition background.

In a statement titled the Season of Fakery Galore, which is now circulating on social media Wole Soyinka debunked the post as fake news.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission announced that its operatives arrested one Bolarinwa Oluwasegun for his alleged involvement in a 270 million Naira fraud.

Oluwasegun was said to have presented himself as a general in the Nigerian Army and forged the signature of President Muhammadu Buhari in a letter he claimed was his proof of appointment.

According to the EFCC, Oluwasegun made the false representation to defraud Kodef Clearing Resources under the pretext of securing a grant.

In the United Kingdom following Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s confession that he joined colleagues for drinks in the Downing Street garden on May 20th 2020 for around 25 minutes, to thank them for their hard work during the pandemic, a video of members of labour the Liberal Democrats and the Scottish National Party calling on the prime minister to resign, claiming he broke Covid rules has gone viral.
