Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ Album Makes British Vogue’s 12 Best Albums Of 2020

Wizkid‘s fourth studio album ‘Made In Lagos’ has been listed among British Vogue’s 12 best  albums of the year.

The 14-track album, released on October 30, joined the likes of Beyonce’s ‘Black is King,’ Jay Electronica’s ‘Act II: The Patents of Nobility,’ Moses Sumney’s ‘Græ’ and ‘Fetch The Bolt Cutters’ by Fiona Apple on the list.

‘Made in Lagos’ features an incredible group of chart-topping artists from the Black diaspora, including Burna Boy, Skepta, Damian Marley, H.E.R and Ella Mai.

Was there another record this year that was quite so addictive?” Vogue said of the album.

“This is pop at its absolute finest, and in this golden age for global music, WizKid wants you to remember that it is African, Nigerian-born.”

A month after its release, ‘Made in Lagos’ became the longest charting album by an African act on the continent on the Top 20 of Worldwide Apple Music and tied Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ as the Nigerian albums with the most weeks spent on the UK Album Charts this decade.
