The Nigerian Army has described the gruesome murder of two soldiers as a witch-hunt on soldiers.
Two soldiers Master Warrant Officer Audu Linus and private Gloria Matthew who travelled to their home town in Imo state to formalize their wedding were alledgely beheaded by members of the indigenous people of Biafra and it’s armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network.
In the meantime the governor of Rivers State Nyesome Wike on Tuesday said that he supports the agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra but is against the violent activities linked to the group.
In another development, reactions have trailed the donation of several operational vehicles to Workers at a foundation, established by Abubakar Malami the attorney-general of the federation which are said to be used to support their activities.
Furthermore, some senior officials of the justice ministry and several aides of Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami have been quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over suspicion of corruption in the compilation of the presidential pardon list.
