Following the Central Bank Of Nigeria’s announcement to redesign and reissue higher denominations of the naira, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday carried out simultaneous operations against Bureau de Change operators in Abuja and Kano. In the meantime, videos showing dirty naira notes including rotten denominations of N1000 Naira notes as seen in a trailer belonging to some northern youth has gone viral.
In another development, the Governor of Rivers state Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday, donated 25 buses to the People Democratic Party campaign team in Benue State. The Governor of the State, Samuel Ortorm who announced the donation, while speaking on the issue rocking the PDP said the party may not win the presidential election if the issues were not resolved. His comment is coming after Wike accused the chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu of refusing to resign his position because of greed and called him a hollow man.
