The crisis in Rivers state took another dimension after the governor of the state Sim fubara claimed that he was shot at on Monday and teargas canisters aimed at him by police personnel when he visited the house of assembly complex in Port Harcourt, hours after fire engulfed a section of the complex.
A cross section of Nigerians have accused Nyesom Wike, the immediate past governor of the state and the current minister of the federal capital territory of masterminding the crisis after rumours began circulating that Fubara reportedly discards Wike’s instructions which prompted an impeachment procedure against the governor.
As reactions trail the crisis, users on social media pulled up a video of Governor Wike saying that he will not be worried if his successor turns against him as he is there to serve the state.
A video of former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, warning Sim Fubara to be wary of his predecessor, Nyesom Wike has surfaced online.
