The Intra-Africa Trade Fair is a major event held annually in order to boost trade on the continent. Owing to the number of participants and visitors, no other event brings together more professionals under one roof.
For this year’s trade fair currently taking place in Durban, South Africa, IATF’s theme is focused on the newly-launched African Continental Free Trade Area – a single market for goods and services across 55 countries, aimed at boosting trade and investment.
Rabiu Umar, the Group Chief Commercial Officer of Dangote Group, spoke to ARISE News from Durban to give us his takeaways from the trade fair and lend some insight into what deals his company has struck and in the process of doing.
