Ways and Means: FG’s Further Borrowing from CBN Illegal – Tilewa Adebajo

CEO, The CFG Advisory Tilewa Adebajo said Wednesday on ARISE News that the presidency’s request that the House approves one trillion naira to finance some of the budget deficit for the year is an illegality.

The presidency has no power to request an approval and the CBN act clearly states it’s limits. 90% of our revenue is going into debt servicing, this isn’t sustainable and something has to be done. The CBN has contributed to the fiscal crises by violating the CBN act and they should come up with policies that will create economic growth.
