Afrobeat superstar Wizkid was the closing act on Friday when 30 young designers exhibited at Africa’s foremost fashion show, the ARISE FASHION WEEK.
The virtual show is streamed live on all THISDAY ARISE platforms including arise.tv, and continues on Saturday with more designers and more A-list artistes.

His electrifying performance opened with the instantly recognizable, award-winning single, ‘Ojuelegba.’
Transitioning seamlessly between songs from his latest album such as ‘No Stress’ and ‘True Love,’ and older hits like ‘Soco’ and the Drake-feature ‘Come Closer’, the Starboy performed as the five final designers of the night including Mazelle Studio, South Africa’s Mmuso Maxwell and Wuman hit the runway.
Twenty designers have now showcased their collections.
Later on Saturday, the final ten will return to the runway, with music from Falana, Wande Coal, Ré Olunuga and Asa.
