Victor Boniface Passes Medical Tests Ahead of €60 Million Move to Al-Nassr

Victor Boniface has passed medical check-ups ahead of his €60 million move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.

Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has successfully passed his medical check-ups ahead of his anticipated move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, according to reports from SkySport Germany.

The move is part of a significant €60 million deal between Al-Nassr and Bayer Leverkusen for the 24-year-old Nigerian forward.

Boniface, who will earn a reported €15 million net per season at Al-Nassr, has become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market.

The reports of the Riyadh club’s interest in the Akure-born striker gained momentum over recent days, with Al-Nassr aiming to replace departing star Talisco.

On Tuesday, Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso confirmed that negotiations were progressing between the two clubs, with Boniface at the center of the deal.

This move comes just a week after Boniface extended his contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2026, raising questions about the sudden transfer.

Once the deal is confirmed, Boniface will become the second most expensive player to depart Leverkusen, following Kai Havertz’s €80 million transfer to Chelsea five years ago. Boniface’s transfer will further solidify Leverkusen’s history of selling top talent.

Boniface joined Leverkusen in July 2023 for €20.5 million, and his impact has been nothing short of impressive. Despite a thigh injury that kept him sidelined since November, Boniface scored eight goals in 15 appearances for the Bundesliga side. His 14 goals in 23 league matches helped Leverkusen secure the Bundesliga title, an achievement they managed without losing a single game.

The Nigerian forward’s stellar performances also earned him the prestigious Rookie of the Year award, with Boniface winning the monthly prize on four occasions.
