US Rock Band, Aerosmith, Reschedules Six Farewell Tour Performances As Singer, Steven Tyler, Suffers Vocal Cord Damage

US rock band, Aerosmith, have rescheduled six of their North American farewell tour shows due to vocal cord injuries suffered by singer Steven Tyler.

Tyler experienced vocal cord injuries, resulting in subsequent bleeding during the band’s Saturday performance in Elmont, New York,

The rock band took to X, formerly Twitter, with a statement by Tyler which says, “I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days.

“We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”

Their final tour was originally scheduled to end in Montreal on January 26th, but it will extend into the next month, wrapping up with a rescheduled performance in Cleveland, Ohio on February 29th. Concerts in Detroit, Chicago, Washington DC, and Raleigh, North Carolina have also experienced changes due to this.

The Peace Out tour began this month with a series of performances by the group. They were originally scheduled to play in Toronto on Tuesday, but that date has been rescheduled to February 2024. The next concert on their updated itinerary will take place in Tampa, Florida next month.

The rock group additionally mentioned that they will respect all tickets bought earlier for the postponed dates, and they will also offer refunds to individuals who cannot make it to the event.

In 2001, the Boston-based musical group, celebrated for both their extravagant, unrestrained ways of living and their captivating guitar melodies, received the honour of being included in the prestigious Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

Remarkably, during that very year, they also took the stage for the Super Bowl halftime performance.
