Democratic Presidential contender Joe Biden struck an optimistic tone Tuesday night as he addressed voters in the state of Delaware.
Speaking in his hometown of Wilmington, Biden called for patience as early results showed him leading, but key battleground states were still up for grabs.
President Donald Trump is so far projected to hold 20 states, including must-win Florida, having outperformed pollsters’ predictions.

“It’s not over until every ballot is counted. We are on track to win this election,” Biden said.
With results still trickling in, and several swing state still to be decided, Biden is not expected to declare victory or concede defeat.
“It’s not my place or Donald Trump’s place to declare the winner of this election, but the American people,” he said.
