U.S. Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz announced on Wednesday, that he has agreed to debate his Republican opponent, JD Vance, on October 1.
This date was among several proposed by CBS News for the upcoming vice presidential debate.
CBS News had suggested four potential debate dates: September 17, September 24, October 1, and October 8.
Vance, speaking to Fox News, indicated a strong likelihood of participating on October 1 and expressed a desire for additional debates with Walz.
In a related development, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, and Republican nominee Donald Trump are scheduled to face off in a debate on ABC News on September 10.
