US Celebrates Wole Soyinka on 90th Birthday 

The US Mission Nigeria has extended warm wishes to Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, on his 90th birthday. 

The mission expressed its admiration for Soyinka, highlighting his significant accomplishments and contributions in inspiring the younger generation.

“Happy 90th birthday to Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka! Join us in celebrating the life and remarkable accomplishments of this cultural icon whose work continues to transcend borders and inspire generations,” the mission stated.

Professor Soyinka, a prolific playwright, poet, and essayist, has had a distinguished academic career, having taught at prestigious U.S. universities such as Emory University, Cornell, Harvard, New York University, and Yale. 

His influence and legacy continue to inspire students and scholars across the globe.
