Trump Projected to Win Alaska Days After Losing White House to Biden

US President Donald Trump is projected to have won in Alaska, defeating President-elect Joe Biden in the state.

Trump has yet to concede the presidential election four days after Biden surpassed the 270 Electoral College votes needed to capture the presidency.

Awarding Alaska’s three Electoral College votes to Trump will not change the outcome of the November 3 election.

The outcome is still undecided in a few states with Trump holding a lead in North Carolina and Biden ahead in Georgia and Arizona. Recounts are expected in several states, but they are unlikely to change the outcome.

Nationwide, Biden is leading Trump by 3.2 percentage points or nearly 5 million votes as final tabulations trickle in.

Trump’s fellow Republicans have largely stuck with him in his bid to legally challenge the outcome, saying he has a right to contest the result.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick said Tuesday he would pay up to $1 million from his campaign account to people who come forward with evidence of voter fraud.

But privately, some say Trump must soon produce significant evidence or exit the White House.

In order to remain in office, Trump would need to win all three undecided states plus overturn the results in one or more states already in Biden’s column.
