The Kano Governorship poll Petition Tribunal has removed Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from office, finding the All Progressives Congress (APC) the victor of the March 18 poll.
The Tribunal delivered the judgement virtually via Zoom.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) proclaimed Yusuf, who ran on the banner of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), the election winner.
The panel, however, overturned INEC’s verdict and proclaimed Nasir Gawuna the winner on Wednesday.
The three-member panel, chaired by Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay, began hearings at the tribunal’s Miller Road location shortly before 10:00 a.m.
