The tenth edition of the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF) gets underway on the 7th of November in Lagos.
The festival will play host to African filmmakers and enthusiasts as it receives a record-breaking number of more than four thousand submissions from over 100 countries.
Meanwhile, Afrobeats sensation Tiwa Savage has a special visual for her latest smashing hit “Somebody’s Son” featuring American singer Brandy as the fourth track off her recently released EP “Water & Garri” as the anticipated official video drops later today, 12th of October.
Also, Daniel Craig who has portrayed James Bond in five 007 films has gotten his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
And finally, Nissi Ogbulu’s 2020 short film ‘The Satchel’ has won the ‘The Audience Choice’ for ‘International Best Animated Short Film’ at the just concluded 2021 Cannes Independent International Film Festival in France.
The 3D Afro-Anime short film is based on an adapted story that centers on the Yoruba creation story.
