Tinubu Settles Wike Vs Fubara Feud + Minister Of Women Affairs Says Women Shouldn’t Pay Tax – Trending With Ojy Okpe

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with the minister of the federal capital territory, Nyesom Wike and Sim Fubara the governor of Rivers state at the state house in Abuja on Monday, where both men agreed to end the political feud between them.

In the eight-point resolution signed by Fubara, Wike, and other Rivers stakeholders, it was agreed that all impeachment proceedings against the governor should be dropped immediately. One of the resolution says that Martin Amaewhule should be recognised as speaker while the 27 lawmakers who defected to the APC should be taken back as members of the assembly.

The Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has called on the Nigerian security agencies to stay off women, as they should not be allowed to pay tax. The minister gave the warning at the Women, Peace and Security Sector Reference Group’s 4th Annual Forum in Abuja. Ohanenye, who is a barrister in her argument said that women should instead be empowered, to enable them progress in their day-to-day activities.

The minister spoke with one our morning show Anchors ‘Adesuwa Giwa Osagie for her Untold story project, where the minister revealed that she is not supposed to be paying tax and that Nigerian’s should be grateful that she pays any tax all.

In Niger state the governor of the state, Umar Bago, has barred civil servants from wearing native attires to offices in the state. Bago spoke on Monday during a presentation of land development and preparation equipment in Wushishi LGA of the state.

He said native attires such as “kaftans and babanriga” must not be worn at offices from Monday to Thursday. He added that all civil servants must comply with the directive, stating that those who flout the order would be dismissed from service.
