A Lagos High Court has summoned Christian Chukwuka Wigwe, to enter an appearance before it, to show what interest he has in the estate of the late Group Managing Director and CEO of Access Bank Plc, Herbert Wigwe.

The probate registry of the court, in a Probate Form 7 dated 21st of October, 2024, and issued against Christian Chukwuka Wigwe, ordered him or his legal representative to enter an appearance to declare his interest in the late Wigwe’s estate contrary to the interest of the appointed personal representative of the estate of the deceased banker Uchechukwu N. Wigwe the party at whose instance the warning was issued.

According to GovSpend, a civic tech- platform that tracks analyses of Federal Government’s spendings, data showed that a total sum of N44.88 million Naira was spent by the State House on getting visas for officials, including aides to the President and the Vice President, in March 2024 alone.

The details were highlighted in four separate transactions showing , the costs incurred to secure the visa’s for official engagements abroad, particularly to the United Kingdom and France.

On March 7th the State House processed two payments totalling N13.01m. then on March 27th N31.87m was spent on visas for aides and staff members of the State House.

These payments underline the significant expenses associated with the international operations of government officials.

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on religious leaders to rather focus on praying and counseling the government, instead of resorting to curses.

The comments were made at the opening ceremony of the four-day International Conference of the African Biblical Leadership Initiative in Abuja.

Remi Tinubu, highlighted the numerous challenges facing today’s leadership, particularly in Africa.

She urged religious leaders to preach peace and follow in the footsteps of Christ, by praying for leaders instead of abusing them.
