Tinubu Presides Over Maiden FEC Meeting

President Bola Tinubu is presiding over the maiden Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of his administration at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.

The meeting which comenced at Noon is coming exactly one week after the President inaugurated the new cabinet members at the Banquet Hall of the State House, Abuja following their confirmation by the Senate in line with provisions of the 1999 constitution (as amended).

The cabinet is made of 45 Ministers who scaled through the screening while three other nominees including former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai were denied clearance. 

Also attending the FEC meeting are Vice President Kashim Shettima; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the federation, Dr (Mrs) Folashade Yemi-Esan and the Chief of Staff to the President president, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
