Six weeks after the inaugural meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), President Bola Tinubu is about now presiding over another FEC meeting at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting is being attended by Ministers and Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; while Vice President Kashim Shettima is absent having travelled on Sunday to Beijing, China to represent the President at an international summit.
Also attending the meeting are Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan; Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi; Health, Prof Ali Pate; Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edu; and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari.
FEC also observed a minute silence in honour of the First Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun, who died recently.
Ajose-Adeogun who died at the age of 96 was appointed the Minister of Federal Capital in 1976 by the Murtala Mohammed military regime and served in the position till 1979.
