Nigeria President Bola Tinubu is about now meeting with former Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi; his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, at the State House, Abuja.
The President is meeting Wike the second time in four days, as he was in the State House last Friday, along with Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, and former Delta State governor, Chief James Ibori.
Like Wike, Umahi had met with the president last Friday in his office.
Although the purpose of the visit of the trio
could not the ascertained at the time of filing this report, it may not be unconnected with pending choices of ministerial positions and upcoming election of National Assembly’s principal officers.
Akpabio, who is the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) preferred candidate for the position of the President of the Senate, is believed to have come in the company of Umahi and Wike to concretise his ambition.
