President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello for his exemplary stewardship in the leadership of the state since he assumed office.
In a statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Governor, Onogwu Mohammed, it was noted that the Kogi Governor met the President to discuss crucial matters bordering around security and economics.
The statement read “Kogi State governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello, CON, was warmly received by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, at the State House, Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday where he had a meeting with Mr President.
“The meeting between the governor and Mr. President was marked by a profound and insightful discussion, delving into crucial matters surrounding security and economics.
“During this important meeting, Governor Yahaya Bello received commendations from the revered President Tinubu for his exemplary stewardship in steering the ship of Kogi State since assuming office in January 2016.
“This acknowledgement from Mr. President serves as a testament to Governor Bello’s commendable leadership, affirming his dedication and impactful contributions to the prosperity and well-being of the people of Kogi State.
“Assumed office on the January 27 , 2016, governor Yahaya Bello’s term comes to an end on the 27 January, 2024 as he will be handing over the Barton of leadership to his worthy successor , Ahmed Usman Ododo, governor-elect.”
