President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for a one-day visit to Ondo state.
The President, whose official jet, NAF1, departed the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport, Abuja on Wednesday afternoon, had since arrived Akure airport.
He was received at the Akure airport by Ondo State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his Ekiti State counterpart, Mr Biodun Oyebanji.
Upon arrival, President Tinubu inspected the presidential guard of honour mounted at the airport terminal after which he proceeded to the palace of the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye.
The President is also expected to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, who passed away in December, 2023 and interred in his Owo, Ondo State country home last Friday.
From Owo, President Tinubu will return to Akure, Ondo State capital and pay a courtesy visit to the national leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, at his residence.
