Tinubu Cancels Birthday To Pray For Nigeria + Umahi Asks Tinubu To Draft Wike – Trending With Ojy Okpe

Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called off the colloquium to mark his 71st birthday which was set to hold tomorrow, March 29th and has instead; opted for special prayers and a thanksgiving service.

Tinubu’s Media Aide Tunde Rahman who made the announcement said the president-elect decided to cancel the annual event which falls within the holy month of Ramadan to seek for God’s guidance for himself and for the country as he prepares to take the reins of leadership.

On Monday a group within the All Progressives Congress called the Concerned Patriots in Defense of Democracy trooped out in their numbers as they marked the beginning of what they described, as the countdown to May 29th when President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be sworn into office.

The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, has asked President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu to include the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, in his administration. Umahi made the comment on Monday, during an event hosted by Wike in Obio-Akpor Local government area of Rivers State.

The Ebonyi Governor noted that Wike was a factor in Tinubu’s great success in winning the election and that he has a lot to offer for the unity of the country. The death, of 27 year old, Izuchukwu Mbakwe, an Employee of De Choice Eatery In Umuahia, the Abia State capital, has caused outrage in the city which was last week boisterous over the election of Alex Otti, as their incoming governor. Izuckwuku was shot and killed for allegedly asking for his unpaid five months salary from the manager of the restaurant by an operative of the Abia State Vigilante Service, on Sunday March 26th.

The manager of the restaurant, was said to have demanded the arrest of Izuchwukwu over a missing Nokia Torch phone, belonging to the company and allegedly threatened to kill him for asking for payment of his salary. Also in Enugu State an 11 yr old boy identified as Kamsi Yochukwu on Sunday March 26th was abducted allegedly by security operatives from his residence, for idolizing the leader of the indigenous peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu…it is reported that Kamsi was abducted after he gave his submission over the illegal detention of the IPOB leader.

Videos now circulating on social media revealed the moment the boy was whisked away by two masked security operatives. Finally, in Ghana where United States Vice President Kamala Harris arrived in Accra the country’s capital to begin her tour of the continent Ghana was her first stop of a nine-day trip that will also take her to Tanzania and Zambia.

Her visit follows that of Secretary of State Antony Blinken earlier this month Kamala met with the country’s president, Nana Akufo Addo and she announced the donation of 100 million dollars in support of Benin Republic, Ghana, Guinea, Cote d’ivoire and Togo …The flurry of diplomacy comes as both China and Russia become ever more influential on the continent.
