Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, a former Nigerian Minister of External Affairs says there is a deliberate policy to destroy the country’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its capability to conduct the 2023 general elections.
Akinyemi, a professor of Political Science and International Relations also noted there are very strong forces in the country who regard INEC as being critical to the solution of the problem in Nigeria.
According to the former minister, these forces don’t think that the electoral commission is positively acting on their behalf.
He stated this on Thursday when he featured on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show.
