More than 3 Million people across the eleven local government areas of Gombe State are benefiting from health services being provided by a non governmental organisation. As ARISE News Correspondent, Awwal Ibrahim reports, majority of the beneficiaries are suffering from some neglected tropical diseases.
Experts say there are a number of neglected tropical diseases across each of the 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
But at this event, health officials in Gombe State are saying the most prevalent tropical diseases are Onchocerciasis, Lymphatic Filariasis, Schistosomiasis and Trachoma TT.
