The Consulate-General of Nigeria in New York on Wednesday took possession of three Benin and Ife artefacts from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The artefacts are two 16th-century Benin brass plaques and one 14th-century Ife brass head. The artefacts are the latest to be returned from a collection of artworks looted from Nigeria in 1897
