Tee Mac: I Have No Negative Thoughts Towards Tinubu or His Wife

He remained quiet on Tinubu’s age, but explained that he has lived in Lagos since relocating from Switzerland and can attest to Tinubu’s “transformational impact” in the state.

Former President of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) and Nigerian Flutist, Tee Mac Omatshola spoke in an interview during The Morning Show about the recent trending private conversation between himself and Yemi Olakitan on Facebook stating that the APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu is 86 years old and not 70 and would be too old to be the President of Nigeria in 2023.

Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli reversed his position and now believes APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is qualified to lead Nigeria. He says his comments were taken out of context.

“I have no negative thoughts against my cousin, Remi Tinubu or her husband Bola Tinubu and I feel uncomfortable that it went viral.”

Tee Mac, who remained completely quiet on Tinubu’s age, explained that he has lived in Lagos since relocating from Switzerland and can attest to Tinubu’s “transformational impact” in the state. He emphasized Tinubu’s ability to identify and engage exceptional and committed technocrats in governance, which has yielded tangible results over the years.

“Consequently, his competence is not in doubt. I only expressed my fear of the rigours of the office”

His only complaint, which he maintains, is that Tinubu was the one who sold Buhari to the nation in 2015, and who, contrary to all expectations, has underperformed.

Tee Mac was born in Lagos then sent to Switzerland to get a first class education in Economics. He got his first flute at about 7 years and was taught the basics privately for 3 years and moved on to a more professional training at age 12. He played for various politicians back in the day, and many of them came to hear his music from time to time and also played for the military at times.

He added that back in 1983, Nigeria was a peaceful country, no poverty, filled with laughter, music and happiness where a plot of land was sold for four thousand naira but now too many young people are out of work and that creates tension.
