The GAGE Company has announced the opening of nominations for the annual GAGE Awards ceremony which recognizes individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the field of digital technology, pushing the boundaries of innovation and advancing the industry.
Now in its 4th year, the GAGE Awards has become a benchmark for excellence in the industry, drawing attention to the most talented and forward-thinking leaders that use technology to make lives simpler and better with past winners such as; Meta, Reliance HMO, ARISE Digital, Kuda bank, MTN, Wakanow, Ulessons, GTBank, Mr Macaroni, Nengi, Mr Sabinus and more.
This year’s awards apart from honoring the individuals and organizations that are changing the game and shaping the future of technology in Africa, will particularly recognize 10 Africans and people of African decent who have contributed enormously to the growth of the tech industry in Africa in the last 10 years.
“We are excited to open the nominations for this year’s Tech Awards,” said Johnson Anorh, the convener of the GAGE Awards. “We believe that this is a fantastic opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of those who have made significant contributions to the tech industry. This year will be a special edition because we will spotlight and Award 10 individuals that have contributed enormously to the growth of the digital space in Africa in the last 10 years ”.
He continued, “Africa is blessed to have these individuals and we must recognize them and the energy for growth that they dispense daily so that we all thrive in our pursuits”.
The categories for this year’s GAGE Awards are:
1. Online news platform of the year
2. Mobile banking app of the year
3. Mobile Money Operator of the Year
4. Online comedian of the year
5. Digital artiste of the year
6. Online Influencer of the year
7. Emerging woman in tech
8. Health tech company of the year
9. Best web movie of the year
10. Innovative project of the year …….. and many more
Nominations are open to mostly individuals and organizations in Nigeria, however some categories are at a continental level and are open to other Africans. Submissions will be accepted until April 30th 2023, the shortlisted nominees of some categories will be announced for voting on the 5th of May 2023 and winners of all categories will be announced at our annual awards ceremony on 24th of June 2023.
