Governors Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State and Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, of Ondo State, confirm earlier media reports, which expose the antics employed by their Yobe State counterpart, Mai Mala Buni, to scuttle the national convention of the All Progressives Congress.
According to party sources, the governors in the Buni camp are planning to jet out to London where they will try and meet with Buhari and attempt to convince him to reverse the Yobe State governor’s ouster as the caretaker chairman of the APC.
The sources informed this network that the Buni-led governors intend to employ all sorts of tactics when they meet Buhari, including threatening to defect from the APC to the Peoples Democratic Party.
To discuss unfolding developments and what the APC should be doing to block further attempts to scuttle its convention and other pre-election activities, is Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Minister of Works and a member of the ruling party.
