Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after observing Eid-El-Fitr in his home state of Borno.
The Vice President, who departed Abuja on Sunday evening after a full schedule, arrived in Maiduguri later that night.
During his stay in Maiduguri, Shettima, according to a release issued on Wednesday by his Media Assistant, Stanley Nkwocha, hosted a traditional luncheon for Borno State elders and former schoolmates, where he emphasised the importance of national unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
“We should all perfect, maintain, and build on the sense of unity that exists among us for our collective gain and progress as a gift for one another,” the Vice President said.
