Seong Gi-hun, aka Player 456, after winning the first season of Squid Game on Netflix, is back to confront the deadly survival game in “Squid Game” Season 2, which will premiere on Netflix on December 26. The teaser trailer, released on Tuesday, shows Player 456 played by (Lee Jung-jae) vowing to end the game once and for all.

Netflix’s official synopsis reveals that three years after winning the game, Gi-hun abandons plans to move to the US and returns with a new resolve. He re-enters the mysterious survival game, which this time will feature new contestants competing for a 45.6 billion won prize.

Season 2 will see Gi-hun face off against the enigmatic Front Man played by Lee Byung-hun in a high-stakes showdown. Alongside returning stars Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo, the cast includes newcomers Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, and others.

Created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, ‘Squid Game’ remains Netflix’s most-watched series, with a third season already confirmed for 2025.
