Senate Removes Ali Ndume As Chief Whip, Replaces Him With Borno Senator Mohammed Monguno

The Senate has removed the Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume As Chief Whip, replacing him with Borno Senator Mohammed Monguno.

This is coming after the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday demanded his resignation, citing the hurtful comments he made against the administration of President Bola Tinubu as the reason for the drastic move.

This directive was issued in a letter signed by APC national chair Abdullahi Ganduje and national secretary Ajibola Basiru which was sent to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and was read aloud on the floor of the upper legislative chamber.

Ndume, had earlier alleged that President Bola Tinubu is held captive by forces in the Presidential Villa, who have been feeding him with lies and shielding him from selfless Nigerians who can tell him the truth.
