Sean “Diddy” Combs has issued a public apology following the release of a disturbing video that appears to show him kicking and pushing his former partner, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, in a hotel hallway. The footage, aired by CNN earlier this week, was reportedly captured on 5 March 2016 at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
In his statement, Combs expressed deep remorse for his actions. “I was disgusted when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he said. “I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry.”
The video was described by CNN as a compilation of surveillance footage from multiple angles.
Combs’ apology and the footage’s release have sparked a renewed discussion about domestic violence and the importance of accountability, even for high-profile individuals.
As the news continues to develop, many are watching closely to see how Combs’ admission and apology will impact his public image and personal relationships.
