With rising security issues across Nigeria, Benue State’s conflict over the enforcement of anti-grazing laws pushes state to implement steeper fines for lawbreakers. This is spurred on by fear for the future of farmers in the state, who face regular attacks.
In an exclusive interview with ARISE, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom shares details on the review and gains of the anti-grazing laws including its impact on the security in Benue State.
Governor Ortom also sheds light on a number of issues relating to current state of affairs: his criticism of the Buhari administration and, his governorship including allegations of non-payment of salaries to Benue workers.
