Human Rights Activist, Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate, who was arrested for calling the inspector general of police, Kayode Egbetokun an ‘illegal IGP’ was granted bail on Thursday, by the federal high court in Abuja in the sum of N10 million naira, with one surety.

The presiding judge in the case also ordered Sowore to deposit his International passport with the court registrar and ruled that the surety must have verified landed property in the federal capital territory.

On Wednesday, Sowore rejected the bail conditions presented to him, describing them as “ridiculous”.
