RobotPlusPlus Unveils HighMate C20 At SMM 2024, Aiming To Transform Maritime Cleaning

At the SMM 2024 conference, RobotPlusPlus has launched its highly anticipated HighMate C20 Cargo Hold Cleaning Robot, marking a significant advancement in maritime cleaning technology. The new device promises to revolutionise cargo hold cleaning with its ability to perform the work of three people, all while enhancing safety and efficiency.

In a press statement released on Thursday, RobotPlusPlus revealed that the HighMate C20 is designed to tackle the demanding conditions of maritime environments, featuring a multi-purpose design that can clean up to 95% of a cargo hold’s surface. Its capabilities include five powerful 500-bar high-pressure nozzles that cover a width of 1 metre, achieving a cleaning rate of up to 500 square metres per hour. This performance is equivalent to 100 times the pressure of a traditional fire hose.

Hua-yang Xu, founder and CEO of RobotPlusPlus, expressed enthusiasm about the launch saying, “We’re incredibly excited to launch the C20 at SMM, in front of global leaders from the maritime industry. We relish the opportunity at this distinguished trade conference to also develop new partners from across the world. At RobotPlusPlus, we’ve always been committed to innovation in the maritime industry and enjoy collaborating with like-minded partners in this space.”

The HighMate C20 is designed for ease of use, with most seafarers able to master its basic functions in 10 minutes or less. This user-friendly feature is expected to facilitate widespread adoption among maritime professionals. In addition, the robot’s design aims to protect seafarers from the dangers associated with manual cleaning at heights, addressing a critical safety concern in the industry.

RobotPlusPlus is showcasing the HighMate C20 at booth B8-128, alongside a co-developed robotic solution with MontiPower for welding, inspection, and bristle blasting. The company’s strategic partner MontiPower will present the HighMate Prepper solution, highlighting the collaborative effort in advancing maritime technology.

The company then invited global distributors interested in partnering with RobotPlusPlus, to reach out via sales@robotplusplus.com for further information.

RobotPlusPlus, renowned for its commitment to engineering excellence and innovation, has previously cleaned approximately 1 million square metres with its working-at-height robots.
