The official trailer for the highly anticipated Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story, a remake of the 1995 classic by Play Network Studios is here.
The movie was first announced in January this year after executive producer and Play Network CEO Charles Okpaleke secured the rights to the Nollywood Classic.
The first movie tells the story of Ahanna Okolo, a young boy who is drawn into a web of organized crime and gang rivalry when unforeseen circumstances change the course of his otherwise happy childhood.
The remake, however, is about a young man who lived through injustice and inequality and one day decided, it was enough.
“For Ahanna and the Armadas- the decision to steal the life they wanted was righteous; but everyone knows that two wrongs don’t make a right,” the film’s synopsis reads.
The movie stars Stan Nze, Osas Ighodaro, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Efa Iwara, Ayo Makun and Tobi Bakre, and was directed by Ramsey Nouah.
Last year, Play Network’s ‘Living In Bondage: Breaking Free,’ a remake of the 1992 film, won seven awards at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards 2020, including the Best Movie and Best Overall Movie categories.
