Protesters Storm Sultan’s Palace, Demand End To Insecurity, Hunger, Bad Governance

Protesters have stormed the Sultan’s palace in Sokoto to express their displeasure with the economic condition of the country.

As the nationwide hunger and bad governance continue to spread, thousands of protesters have stormed the Sultan’s palace in Sokoto to express their displeasure over the prevailing economic realities in the country.

The protesters comprised women, youth and even children carrying cards with different inscription that explained their feelings about the present situation in the country.

They called for the removal of fuel subsidy and redoubling of efforts to end insecurity as well as calling on government to address the challenges of inflation and high cost of living in the country.
