Nigeria’s pro-democracy group, National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) is accusing the country’s President Muhammadu Buhari of reneging on all his campaign promises during the 2015 elections.
Spokesman of the group Mr Ayo Opadokun while featuring on an ARISE News’ Morning Show said promises of tackling insecurity and fighting corruption have all been reneged upon by the Nigerian leader.
This has given rise to the increased agitations for secession witnessed in some parts of the country.
NADECO is calling for the cancellation of further elections in the country under the 1999 constitution until the country returns to the negotiated 1960 and 1963 federal constitutions to which citizens subscribed to at independence and when the country became a republic.
