The National Chairman of the Labour Party Julius Abure has been arrested by the police in Benin City Edo State over allegations of attempted murder.
ARISE News gathered that Abure was arrested on Wednesday following a petition by the party’s former Youth Leader, Eragbe Anselm Aphimia. Abure’s arrest comes just a day before the party’s primary election in Edo State. Party officials are yet to speak on the matter.
