The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry in Enugu State Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka made headlines on Thursday after stating during a sermon that the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi will not win the 2023 presidential election because he lacks the spirit of generosity.
The Catholic diocese of Enugu has dissociated itself from the Reverend Father’s comment stating that they are a clear violation of the provisions of the canon law which forbids priests from engaging in partisan politics.
