The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has revealed the type of running mate he wants ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Obi said on the ARISE Morning Show Wednesday morning, that he would like someone like Yusuf Datti-Ahmed as his running mate.
The former governor of Anambra State said he prefers to have younger people who have a lot to offer rather than recycling old hands.
“We need to start lowering.g these barriers and bring younger people with fresh ideas, rather than recycling ourselves.
“We will announce as soon as we’re ready, and that will be very soon.”
Obi also said Nigeria’s implementation of fuel subsidy is a scam and emphasized his resolve to remove subsidies and improve critical economic sectors like power, healthcare and education.
Obi argued that his vast knowledge of the economy backed by his solutions on how to rescue and reposition it puts him in vantage position to be President.
