In a significant development, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, reportedly held a meeting with former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar in Abuja on Monday.
Atiku disclosed this meeting through a post on his official social media handle.
“It was my honor and privilege to host @PeterObi today. -AA,” Atiku wrote.
This meeting marks the first direct engagement between the two prominent politicians since the conclusion of the general elections last year.

In addition to his meeting with Atiku Abubakar, Obi also paid a visit to Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa, at his residence in Abuja.
