Otti Declared Gov. Elect + Tinubu’s Aide Criticises Peter Obi’s Lawsuit- Trending With Ojy Okpe

There was mass jubilation in Umuahia the capital of Abia state after the independent national electoral commission announced the gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party, Alex Otti as the Abia state governor-elect.

Otti polled a total of One Hundred and Seventy Five thousand, four hundred sixty seven votes to defeat his closest rival, Okey Ahaiwe of the PDP who came a distant second polling a total of Eighty eight thousand, five hundred and twenty nine votes. Otti’s victory did not come easy, on Monday the electoral body suspended the collation of results in the state, after thugs invaded its office in Obingwa Local government Area.

The assailants held the INEC officials hostage before they were released, prompting the electoral commission to call for a review of the process.

Labour Party supporters trooped out in their numbers in protest calling out INEC to declare Otti Winner of the election having scored the highest number of votes. Inec declared Otti winner, he addressed party supporters stating that his new responsibility would be to duly serve residents of Abia. In another development, the British high commission on Wednesday announced that its collating relevant information about some Nigerians who engaged in anti-democratic actions during the elections with a view to taking action against the individuals.

This is coming as Bayo Onanuga, Media Aide to President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, came under heavy criticism after posting a viral tweet warning Igbos never to interfere in Lagos politics On Wednesday, Ononuga posted another tweet claiming that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi is trying to treat Tinubu just as retired military head of state, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida did to MKO Abiola, whose presidential election victory got annulled 30 years ago.

A video of a noble mechanic named Timothy who returned the sum of N10.8 million Naira, that was mistakenly transferred to his bank account by one of his clients has made rounds on social media.
