Ahead of the November 16, 2024 governorship election in Ondo state, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Agboola Ajayi, has named the member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Festus Akingbaso as his running mate.
Recall that Agboola Ajayi, had used Samuel Ogunmusi as a placeholder.
However a statement by the PDP Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei on Sunday confirmed the latest development.
The lawmaker was a former House of Assembly member who represented Idanre constituency, from the central senatorial district of the state.
This development comes ahead of the June 18, 2024 deadline for the substitution of names of candidates for the election as stipulated by the independent national electoral commission (INEC).
