Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has called on all Ekiti indigenes residing in Ondo State to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, in the upcoming gubernatorial election, ensuring a strong mandate for continued development in the state.
Speaking at a solidarity rally in Akure on Tuesday, Oyebanji expressed confidence that Ayedatiwa would achieve a landslide victory across all 18 local government areas.
While addressing the rally, Oyebanji thanked Ekiti residents in Ondo for uniting to endorse Ayedatiwa, stating, “I appreciate all of you for honouring our invitation and your support for us during our election in Ekiti state. This is the first time I am meeting you after the election; I am extremely grateful.”
Accompanied by key government officials, including Ekiti’s Deputy Speaker and Special Adviser on Political Matters, Oyebanji underscored Ayedatiwa’s commitment to progress, noting that since Ayedatiwa assumed office, no stone had been left unturned in the drive to bring development to the state.
He also described Ayedatiwa as the most prepared candidate for the job to enable him to continue with the good works.
Governor Oyebanji stressed that a vote for Ayedatiwa would reaffirm support for President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as highly loved, respected, and recognised as our beloved leader in the southwest. He encouraged voters to use their voter’s cards as a weapon to win the election on Saturday.
Chief Jide Awe, Special Adviser on Political Matters, praised Ekiti descendants in Ondo for their unity, stating that the Governor had also approved regular meetings with Ekiti indigenes in Ondo to be part of government and support it so they benefit from the dividends of democracy in Ondo State.
APC Chairman in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, conveyed Ayedatiwa’s gratitude, assuring Ekiti indigenes that Ayedatiwa would reciprocate their support during the Ekiti governorship election.
