Ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday fixed the primary election for
April 25 while the appeal for the exercise is for April 26.
The party made announcement in a notice on its X (Twitter) handle and signed by its National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungun.
According to him, the sale of the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms worth N50 million would commence on April 3 and end April 10.
Arise News reports that while Expression of interest form is pegged at N10 million, the nomination form costs N40 million.
Also, female aspirants and persons with disabilities are to only purchase the Expression of Interest form as the Nomination Form is free for them.
The APC said its decision was in compliance with the Electoral Act 2022, as amended, and relevant sections of the Constitution.
“In compliance with the relevant sections of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Electoral Act 2022, the APC hereby makes public its timetable and schedule of activities leading to the 16th November, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo state as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC”, party said.
