Former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo, who has been embroiled in controversy over ordering traditional rulers, in Oyo State, to get up from their seats to honour Governor Seyi Makinde when he was called to the podium accusing them of insubordination was seen in a video now making the rounds on social media prostrating before the Olota of Ota in Ogun State.
Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka over the weekend at a book launch took a jab at the former President over his action towards traditional rulers at the event in Oyo State. During the book launch which had traditional rulers in attendance, Soyinka told them that he was not in their presence to bark at them to stand up and sit down.
Another classmate who claims to have attended the chicago state university with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged and is said to have sworn an oath attesting that he is familiar with the president. Olajide Adeniji reportedly testified, at the Northern District of Illinois Court in Chicago on September 23rd that he knew and contested against Tinubu as President of the Accounting Society Club at the Department of Business Admin in the same alma mater.
His testimony is coming after Durojaiye Ogunsanya, a public affairs analyst had also claimed to be Tinubu’s classmate during a live television.
The officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps were captured in a video forcibly removing street traders from the Magodo Area of lagos and also seizing their items. The video has sparked a wide range of reactions on social media, with some commending the authorities for their actions, while others have criticized them.
